This role requires technical expertise and collaboration across departments to ensure product quality, introduce innovations, and provide training. Process Development Engineer - Photolithography

Job Responsibilities :

  1. Supervise and support Wafer Fab manufacturing areas, working in a clean room environment.
  2. Focus on photolithography, supporting Stepper and track processes, including the introduction and qualification of new reticles and recipes.
  3. Develop new industrial processes and maintain or improve existing ones.
  4. Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to ensure product quality, cost-efficiency, and manufacturing effectiveness, providing technical advice.
  5. Support the development of thin film vacuum deposition processes, dry and plasma etching.
  6. Investigate and troubleshoot process or product issues.
  7. Coordinate with installation and maintenance teams for equipment upgrades and calibration.
  8. Work with EHS representatives to ensure safe working conditions and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  9. Implement Statistical Process Control to enhance yield and reduce rework rates.
  10. Introduce technological innovations to increase yield and decrease process lead time.
  11. Maintain process documentation and work instructions for transferring new processes to manufacturing.
  12. Manage new product introduction from design phase into manufacturing.
  13. Conduct manufacturing operators' training.

Job Requirements :

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic or Material Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry.
  • Experience in wafer fab processes and manufacturing within the semiconductor or nanotechnology industry.
  • Hands-on experience with Overlay and CDSEM metrology is preferred.
  • Knowledge of plasma etching techniques is advantageous.
  • Experience with Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) is beneficial.
  • Experience with Chemical Mechanical Polishing (CMP) is a plus.
  • Strong teamwork attitude and proactive communication across functions and levels.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Knowledge of process validation, FMEA, basic Six Sigma concepts like capability studies, and SPC is desirable.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and statistical tools; LabView knowledge is a plus.
