- Your Role
As the
- Privacy Operations Officer
- You will work within the Europe Operations team, leading privacy responsibilities in Italy to ensure compliance with data protection regulations, safeguarding customer data, and maintaining trust.
- Your function
- Support the Europe Privacy Operations Lead, Senior Privacy Operations Officer, and Global Privacy Office in regulatory examinations and audits.
- Implement the group privacy framework across the business, ensuring adherence to local laws and global policies.
- Coordinate privacy programs with the Europe Privacy Operations team, Global Privacy Office, and senior management to ensure consistency.
- Assist the EU Privacy Lead and Senior Privacy Officers in Spain, Portugal, and France.
- Maintain and update the local Record of Processing Activities (ROPA) in the global system (One Trust).
- Handle privacy incidents, breaches, and complaints following the Data Breach Management procedures.
- Conduct DPIAs to identify privacy risks for new projects or systems.
- Manage Data Subject requests related to privacy rights.
- Ensure compliant sharing of personal data with external parties.
- Work with legal teams to ensure data processing agreements meet GDPR requirements.
- Monitor legislative changes and update privacy policies accordingly.
- Provide privacy training and raise awareness through programs and initiatives.
- Address privacy queries from stakeholders, partners, suppliers, and customers.
- Collaborate with Risk and Information Security teams to ensure compliance and manage data loss remediation.
- Your profile
- Core competencies include Critical Reasoning, Information Gathering, Relationship Building, Communication, Collaboration, Impact & Influence, Initiative, Conceptual Thinking, and Business Judgment.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in law, business, or related field within the EU/UK; additional certifications in privacy or security are advantageous.
- Experience: 2-4 years in data privacy/data handling or 5+ years in privacy compliance leadership; experience in privacy/security assessments, policy development, and financial services preferred.
- Knowledge of GDPR and local privacy laws is essential.
