The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Principal Systems Engineer to join our Power Integrated Circuit (PIC) product lines team. This role involves driving product definition, ensuring thorough product verification, and providing strategic technical support to key customers. You will collaborate with system, design, test engineers, marketing, field applications teams, and industry-leading customers to develop innovative power management solutions for regulator and lighting markets.

What You Will Do

• Lead product definition processes, including developing specifications, defining architectures, and creating algorithms for target markets.
• Contribute to the Lighting products roadmap through technical leadership.
• Perform applications-based testing to verify IC performance under real-world conditions.
• Generate technical documentation such as datasheets, application reports, and reference designs.
• Work with Product Engineering to develop test strategies ensuring proper operation in customer applications.
• Collaborate with Safety and Quality Engineering teams to ensure functional safety and quality standards.
• Mentor and supervise junior and senior Systems Engineers.

What You Will Need

• BSEE or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in Power Converter Applications or Power IC Design, with automotive lighting experience.
• Strong understanding of PMIC, switching regulator topologies, EMI mitigation, PCB layout, and testing.
• Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink, SIMPLIS/SIMetrix, LabVIEW, and power conversion techniques.
• Laboratory experience with various testing tools and methodologies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
• Ability to deliver clear technical presentations to customers and senior management.

Travel: This role may require national and international travel to support a global customer base.
