Wood is recruiting for a Principal Project Engineer to join its Technical Consulting – Process and Chemical – Technology and Products team focusing on engineering, procurement, and construction of complex Fired Heaters in the Chemical, Petrochemical, and Energy industries. The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.

The Role

You will assist the Project Manager in the coordination of the engineering team, and you will prepare multidisciplinary documents requiring interaction with several technical disciplines. You will attend technical project reviews with clients as well as with sub-suppliers. You will be responsible for technical tabulations of quotations received from potential sub-suppliers. You will ensure the timely submission of documents to clients and that all client comments are incorporated into the design. Additionally, you will conduct periodic visits to sub-suppliers' workshops to monitor the status of orders.
