Summary / Role Purpose

Join the Ansys Customer Excellence team as a recognized leader in the Aerospace & Defense vertical. Your role involves mapping customer product development processes, solving real-world problems, deploying Ansys software, and growing the business. Collaborate with industry leaders, capture regional priorities, and influence the technology roadmap. Work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment, leveraging leadership skills to deliver impact.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Support Ansys’ verticalization Go-to-Market strategy in collaboration with Marketing and Sales
• Work with TAMs, CTOs, and ACE SMEs to align capabilities with industry initiatives
• Identify, scope, and create best practices for vertical applications
• Build a global SME network to develop content supporting Ansys narratives
• Gather feedback, conduct gap analyses, and communicate technology roadmaps and feature enhancements
• Drive market adoption through sales enablement and technical content
• Manage the sales opportunity lifecycle from discovery to deployment
• Partner with Regional Sales Directors for opportunity review and pipeline development
• Translate customer requirements into product features, guide product roadmaps, and lead testing of new releases
• Promote a unified One Ansys culture

Minimum Education/Certification and Experience

• BSc, MSc, or PhD in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or related fields
• BS+12, MS+10, PhD+7 years in engineering software environment
• BS+10, MS+8, PhD+5 years experience with the A&D community
• Proficiency with Ansys or similar CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software
• Subject matter expert in relevant disciplines
• Understanding of engineering practices and deployment of simulation solutions
• Proven track record of customer success and revenue impact
• Leadership, mentoring, and project management skills
• Strong communication skills in English; ability to travel up to 15%

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Preferred education and experience: BS+16, MS+14, PhD+11
• Experience in application engineering, customer support, or consulting (6+ years)
• Ability to interact with senior management and C-level executives
• Excellent negotiation and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects across diverse teams and regions
• Willingness to travel up to 25%
