Descrizione del lavoro

Nidec Conversion is hiring a Proposal Manager for the Cinisello Balsamo site. The resource will be assigned within the technical-commercial department related to the Power Quality / Power Electronics business unit.

The candidate will be responsible for managing offer preparation, including technical sizing and cost evaluation/analysis.

Strong commitment to transversal activities, such as interaction with R&D, Electrical Engineering, and Sales teams, is mandatory.

The candidate shall contact suppliers for quotations, technical alignment, and offer optimization to improve the quotation package.

Principal Job Responsibilities and Activities
  • Receive Customer’s RFQ from the sales department.
  • Interpret Customer’s request and identify Customer’s needs.
  • Analyze input documentation (Customer specifications and technical bid).
  • Identify the best technical solution fitting the functional and performance requirements, using simulation tools for steady state and transient network studies, aiming for lower cost.
  • Estimate costs of internal and external materials, equipment, works, and services for the technical solution.
  • Coordinate with suppliers in collaboration with the supply chain team.
  • Estimate project workload in Application Engineering, R&D, and Project Management.
  • Prepare detailed documentation to support project bids.
  • Review and comment on customer project specifications related to the proposed solution.
  • Collaborate closely with sales and technical teams to provide complete, competitive technical solutions.
  • Participate in customer meetings for solution presentation and technical clarifications.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • University Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of SAP, AutoCAD, and network analyzing tools (e.g., Neplan) is a plus.
Experience & Knowledge
  • Technical background in Medium Voltage Power Conversion, preferably in Power Quality.
  • Knowledge of Single Line Diagrams: interpretation, creation, modification.
  • Knowledge of MV equipment: circuit breakers, air core reactors, transformers, switchgears, disconnector switches.
  • Experience in power quality solutions for industrial, renewable, and utility sectors, such as STATCOM and SVC.
  • Familiarity with grid code standards is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years in similar roles.
