A leading US-backed vendor is seeking a dynamic Pre Sales Engineer in Milan to support sales initiatives, focusing on backup and disaster recovery solutions. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with the Veeam Data Platform, excellent relationship-building skills, and a strong business acumen, ready to engage with C-level executives. In this role, you'll deliver sales presentations, lead technical discussions, and be crucial to the sales team's success while handling travel responsibilities.

A disruptive US backup and security vendor is looking for a Pre Sales Engineer to support the sales team in Milan. As a pre-IPO start-up they are looking for a dynamic individual who has experience within back-up, disaster recovery and data management solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

As a Pre Sales Engineer, you will be accountable to deliver and exceed revenue goals by driving innovative technical engagement with partner and / or prospects in conjunction with the sales team.

Demonstrate technical leadership and subject matter expertise. Support of pre-sales activities in the assigned market. Build technical relationships with channel partners, their customers and eco-system partners. Delivers technical and sales presentations to channel partner’s sales teams heavily focused on the technical roles and directly to end users. Successfully builds relationships with the account team, partners and customers. Leads technical sales calls and educates others. Qualifies sales opportunities in the terms of customer technical requirements, competition. Support lead generation activities such as events, webinars, user groups, etc.

Requirements :

Hands on experience with Veeam Data Platform and datacentre experience. Driven –highly energetic with a strong hands-on, “can do” approach. Entrepreneurial - willing to go the extra mile, strong work ethic, resourceful, “get it done” attitude. Strives in moving in a fast-paced environment; including handling multiple calls / demos per day with immediate follow up. A high level of business acumen and experience working with Cx0 level personnel, knowing that technology solutions solve business challenges. Ability to quickly learn new technologies and be able to educate others. Willingness to travel for regional events and customer meetings; 50% travel.
