Hitachi Rail is seeking a proactive Power Supply and Traction Power Engineer based in Naples, Italy. The role covers a broad range of tasks from administrative to strategic within a fast-paced environment.

You will identify interfaces, ensure system delivery aligns with guidelines, and coordinate testing on site with the Commissioning Manager. Strong experience in power systems for rail projects is required, along with English and Italian proficiency.

Mansioni

• Identify and resolve PS & TP interfaces with main subsystems (e.g. Signalling, CW, Auxiliary systems).
• Ensure delivery of each system complies with engineering guidelines, quality standards, timing and cost constraints.
• Coordinate with Commissioning Manager to plan tests and organize on-site operations per schedule.
• Oversee Verification activities on Power Supply & Traction Power documents per the V&V Plan.
• Test execution and reporting; issue non-conformances per quality procedures and implement corrective actions.
• Capture and share knowledge related to PS & TP, including best practices and lessons learned.

Job Description

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Power Supply and Traction Power Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Naples, Italy.

Accountabilities

• Ensure the identification and resolution of the PS & TP interfaces with the main subsystems (e.g. Signalling, CW, Auxiliary systems etc.)
• Guarantee that the delivery of every system is achieved in compliance with engineering guidelines, quality standards, timing and cost constraints
• Ensure the interface with the Commissioning Manager to plan test and coordinate of operational activities on site according to schedule
• Ensure the Verification activities on Power Supply & Traction Power documents, according to the V&V Plan
• Perform the test and issue the test report, issue non compliances according to quality procedures and purpose remedy actions.
• Support capitalization and sharing of knowledge related to the specific PS & TP (e.g. best practice, lesson learned, …)

Required Skills/ Knowledge

3-5 years related experience.

Desired Skills/ Knowledge

• Experience in power supply & traction power projects, especially Metro Rail projects
• One or more years of experience in railways systems, traction power & power supply design & commissioning activities

Education / Qualifications

Technical Degree or Equivalent Technical Background.

Languages

English Proficiency and italian proficiency.

Remuneration

Alla posizione si applica il vigente CCNL per l’industria metalmeccanica privata e l’installazione di impianti, con inquadramento nel livello B2, ai sensi della relativa disciplina di classificazione del personale. Retribuzione annua lorda compresa tra 36.000€ e 46.000€.
