The POWER ARCHITECT is a key role within the Application Engineering Team and the Strategic Accounts Sales Team, serving as the leader for power train solutions, including medium and low voltage switchgear, UPS, STS / PDU, RPP / Busway, and high-density applications. The role involves influencing the design of solutions for assigned accounts and contributing to market share growth and customer success within the segment.

This position is integral to the EMEA Power Engineering team and Strategic Accounts organization, with accountability for the complete Power portfolio order targets for designated accounts. The POWER ARCHITECT will lead a multidisciplinary team, providing technical support and commercial guidance across all Power products, supported by Key Account Directors and Application Engineers to balance relationship management with technical expertise.

Candidates should have strong technical sales experience, a proven industry track record, and an extensive network with top clients in EMEA. They must possess commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the technical competence to represent Vertiv's full capabilities, especially at senior management levels. Targets will align with market growth and strategic account positioning.

Role Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing technical support and training to strategic customers and sales teams.
  2. Supporting pre-sales activities, including proposals, quotes, and tenders.
  3. Offering technical expertise for strategic projects in collaboration with sales and technical teams.
  4. Developing technical and cost-competitive applications for Power products.
  5. Organizing and hosting events and workshops to demonstrate Vertiv products.
  6. Collaborating with consultants to develop effective solutions and influence RFQs.

Additional duties:

  • Managing projects during OTO and FAT support.
  • Building relationships with consultants and customers to drive specifications, especially for Colo and hyperscale accounts.
  • Expertise in Switchgear, Large Power Converters, STS/PDU, RPP/Busway, High Density, Grid Applications, and Sustainability.
  • Driving growth in Power sales and profitability, securing Vertiv as the preferred partner.
  • Managing a diverse portfolio of top EMEA clients and building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring continuous pipeline growth and project maturity across sales stages.
  • Supporting commercial positioning and bid coordination with sales directors.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Engineering background or equivalent with proven field experience.
  • Extensive experience with AC Power products, especially in Data Centers or similar industries.
  • Experience in related industry segments and similar roles.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30%.
