A leading company in power solutions is seeking a POWER ARCHITECT for its Application Engineering Team. This role is crucial for managing power train solutions and requires strong technical sales skills, a proven track record, and an engineering background. The ideal candidate will work in a collaborative environment to optimize customer relationships and support various power products. Approximately 30% travel is involved.
The POWER ARCHITECT is a key role within the Application Engineering Team and the Strategic Accounts Sales Team, serving as the leader for power train solutions, including medium and low voltage switchgear, UPS, STS / PDU, RPP / Busway, and high-density applications. The role involves influencing solution design, contributing to market share growth, and supporting traditional and grid support solutions.
This position is vital for the EMEA Power Engineering team and the Strategic Accounts organization, with accountability for the complete Power portfolio order targets within assigned accounts. The individual will lead a multidisciplinary team, providing technical support and commercial strategy for all Power products, supported by Key Account Directors and Application Engineers to optimize customer relationships and technical support.
The candidate must possess strong technical sales experience, a proven industry track record, and a well-established network with top clients in EMEA. Commercial acumen, internal and external networking skills, and the ability to coordinate across business units are essential. The role requires demonstrating the full Vertiv portfolio at senior management levels and aligning targets with market growth and strategic positioning.
Responsibilities include providing technical support and training, developing competitive applications, hosting events, collaborating with consultants, and managing projects during OTO and FAT phases. The candidate should be an expert in switchgear, large power converters, RPP / Busway, high-density applications, and grid applications, with a focus on driving growth and securing Vertiv as the preferred partner.
Qualifications include an engineering background or equivalent, extensive experience with AC Power products in data centers or similar industries, and approximately 30% travel. Core competencies involve customer focus, practical AC power train knowledge, project management, organizational skills, effective communication across organizational levels, proficiency in C1 and Oracle Sales Cloud, and familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM, and standards/regulations.
