Job summary

IIT in Genoa invites applications for a Postdoctoral researcher to study how RNA-dependent regulatory mechanisms shape chromatin architecture and genome organization in single cells. The project blends RNA biology, functional genomics, and spatial imaging with a strong emphasis on technology development.

The successful candidate will develop experimental approaches, perform perturbations, and connect single-cell measurements with FISH-omics and chromatin tracing.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biotechnology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biophysics, Physics, Structural Biology, or a related discipline.
• Documented experience in multi-omics data analysis and biological interpretation.
• Experience with functional perturbation approaches and advanced imaging.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize experimental methods to investigate candidate RNAs with perturbations and assays.
• Integrate RNA biology with single-cell spatial genomics workflows (FISH-omics, chromatin tracing).
• Collaborate with bioinformatics and computational genomics teams to interpret data.
• Interact with internal and external collaborators to perform multimodal spatial genomics experiments.
• Present findings at conferences and publish in open-access journals.
