Job Description
This position is part of the RAISE project, funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research, focusing on Robotics and AI for Socio-economic Empowerment. The contract is for 18 months, located in Genoa at the Center for Human Technologies (CHT), Electronic Design Laboratory (EDL), Center for Robotics and Intelligent Systems (CRIS), Mechanical WorkShop Facility (MWS).

Your Team
You will work in a multicultural, multidisciplinary team of engineers, neuroscientists, and scientists focused on control algorithms of multi-axis robots for haptic applications. Your responsibilities include:
- Designing and prototyping electronic systems using commercial components
- Collaborating with mechanical and software engineers
- Documenting electronics for trials on subjects
What Would Make You Shine
Ideal candidates will have:
- A PhD in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunication, Microelectronics, or related fields
- Experience designing motor control systems with commercial components
- Knowledge of multi-axis motor control and communication buses
- Proficiency in C and Python programming
- Experience with embedded systems software
- Excellent English communication skills
- Basic knowledge of hardware and electronic components
Extra Awesome
Additional skills that are a plus include:
- Knowledge of Ethernet, EtherCAT, CAN, and CANopen
- Understanding of systems control theory
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- High motivation and creativity
