ABOUT US

YOUR TEAM

The research line is led by Dr. Lucia Beccai. You will work in a multicultural, multidisciplinary group, collaborating on innovative research in soft robotics and 3D printing of soft sensors.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Designing and fabricating soft mesoscale structures using multi-material 3D printing for soft sensing applications.
• Investigating new materials with tailored properties compatible with 3D printing.
• Characterizing 3D printed soft sensors.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ph.D. in material science, micro/nanotechnology, electrical engineering, or related fields.
• At least 2 years of experience in:
• Digital Light Processing (DLP) printing and multimaterial fabrication.
• Development of flexible, stretchable smart materials.
• Mentoring PhD students.
• Strong skills in:
• Designing and testing soft mechanical sensors (force, vibration, shear).
• Mechanical design (*.stl files).
• Excellent publication record and data management skills.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Experience in preparing project proposals.
