Job Description:

CompuGroup Medical is a worldwide company operating in the healthcare industry. In Italy, it is a leading provider of ERP software for pharmacies, holding over 50% of the market share.

The Software Developer plays a key role in this international project, involved in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software systems. The role requires creating specialized, high-quality software for CGM customers.

The Software Developer manages the entire development process for software programs, participating in design and refinement meetings, and ensuring the software meets business needs. The role demands strong knowledge of standards, practices, and procedures, along with experience in Agile frameworks and popular coding languages.

What you will do:

1. Use modern AI models to enhance existing products with Artificial Intelligence capabilities.
2. Select appropriate tools and techniques to leverage the latest AI developments in Large Models (not only Language Models) and integrate them with cloud applications.
3. Secure results through unit testing and defensive programming techniques.
4. Perform baseline testing and maintain developer-facing documentation using Jira and Confluence.
5. Understand and apply the agile mindset.

What you will bring:

• Must: Problem-solving mindset aligned with business goals, strong understanding of how Large Models work, familiarity with LLM tooling, and experience in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
• Proficiency in Python and related ecosystem (Jupyter, Pytest, Virtualenvs, Poetry), understanding of RAG, Prompt Engineering, Docker, and Docker Compose. Ability to guide juniors and coordinate workflow.
• Appreciated: Good communication skills in Italian and English, experience with social AI platforms like Hugging Face or Kaggle, knowledge of Neural Network architectures (Transformers, Diffusion Models), AI/RAG frameworks (Cheshire-Cat, Haystack), Computer Vision models (YOLO, Vision Transformers), and cloud infrastructure familiarity. Knowledge of OOP, TDD, and test containers is also valued.
