A leading European energy provider in Milan is seeking a Portfolio Analyst to enhance its Middle Office Trading department. The candidate will be responsible for generating PnL and exposure reports, consulting with the trading units, and analyzing key trading indicators. Excellent project management skills and fluency in English are required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus. Candidates must possess EU citizenship or a valid EU work permit.

To strengthen its Middle Office Trading department, Alpiq is looking for a Portfolio Analyst with proven professional experience in the energy markets. The Middle Office Trading department is responsible for providing accurate PnL and exposure reporting to the Trading department.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Generating and validating reports such as exposures and Profit/Loss calculations from trading activities.
  2. Consulting and supporting front trading units in capturing specific Trade Types.
  3. Monitoring portfolio structures and interacting with related processes.
  4. Analyzing key indicators, testing new products in the trading system, and supporting cross-divisional processes.
  5. Executing ETRM or BI System tests during new releases and assisting with deal migrations or trading system adjustments.
  6. Participating in internal and external projects and project management activities.
  7. Serving as a reliable business partner and liaising with internal departments like Front Office, Controlling, Risk Management, and Back Office.

Requirements:

  • Excellent project management skills
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of German, French, Italian, Spanish, or other languages is a plus
