This position reports to the VP Harvesting Platform Engineering and will serve in a team of engineers responsible for Combines development at AGCO's Breganze (Italy) Site and among all Combine Harvesters sites. The person will lead and is responsible globally for platform development with the technical team and cross functional teams (Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality etc.).

The job holder leads and coordinates global module teams, requiring strong leadership skills and the ability to manage in a matrix organization, following and monitoring the development activity. Leadership skills are required for this position, leading the engineering team delivering new features and solving problems. Strong influence on the strategic roadmap of product developments and is a key interface between the involved functions. Furthermore, the necessary competence for solving non expected and critical problems generates an enormous added value for the whole organization. The Platform Lead Engineer position requests strong Project management skills as he is accountable for the NPI activities and responsible for achieving the QCT target. Teamwork skills are required as the employee will be working in teams internal at the site and across to other AGCO sites

Your Impact:
  • Leads/coordinates and owns platform development activities, drives module-specific innovation, ensures best cost together with Purchasing and Manufacturing counterpart
  • Responsible to deliver NPI projects at define Quality target and Product Maintenance and Good skills in working with one or more ERPs systems (i.e. SAP, BAAN, JDE) and Strong technical knowledge
  • Project planning according to AGCO's procedures called AMPIP and Collaboration across to other AGCO sites for all functions involved in the AMPIP process Participate in meetings for planning, idea generation, design review future optimization with respect to cost, performance, weight and durability
  • Definition of project objectives and key collaboration within the strategical engineering roadmap Managing of comprehensive project requirements and solving of non-expected and complex problems
  • Keeping within the development cost budgets and time schedules, keeping within the defined product cost Define and monitor project budget evolution Achievement of project objectives / working off the projects / quality / innovation objectives Interest in innovative technolgies / highly motivated in solving problems / ability to work in a team strong assertive and resilient Project Manager
Your Experience and Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or Agricultural Engineering
  • +5 years of professional experience.
  • Excellent English language and writing ability, Excellent People and Leadership Skills
  • Proficiency in Creo, MS Package etc.
  • Travel required 25%
