Newesis srl in Turin is seeking a Platform Engineer with 3+ years of experience to build and run automation, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines across cloud environments. The role requires strong Kubernetes skills and GitOps implementation, with hybrid work during onboarding and smart working afterwards.

Proficiency in English and Italian is essential. You will design automation, manage Terraform modules, and collaborate with development teams to ensure scalable, reliable infrastructure and deployment

Open Position - Location: Turin, Italy (Hybrid during six month onboarding, then Smart Working)

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Platform Engineer with minimum 3 years of practical experience to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and executing the platform services to automate infrastructure and deployment pipelines, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and reliability across cloud environments.

Turin, Italy ( Hybrid during six month of onboarding, then Smart Working )

Key Responsibilities

• Automation Focus: Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts, tools and platforms (i.e. Mzinga.io) to streamline software development, testing, and deployment processes.
• Infrastructure as Code ( IaC): Implement and manage infrastructure as code modules and templates, using Terraform across various cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Container Orchestration: Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and scalability, designing and implementing the deployment model (i.e. Helm Charts) working closely connected with the application development team.
• GitOps Implementation: Utilize Flux or ArgoCD for declarative, Git-centric continuous delivery to Kubernetes clusters, using Kustomize and Helm.
• CI/CD Pipeline Development: Build, maintain, and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps to enable rapid and reliable software delivery.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to identify and implement DevOps best practices.
• Monitoring & Logging: Assist in setting up and maintaining monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure optimal observability of the health and performance of our applications and infrastructure.
• Troubleshooting: Participate in troubleshooting and resolving application, infrastructure and deployment-related issues.
  Documentation: Create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for processes and tools.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Software or Platform Development
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles and methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
• Practical experience with at least one major cloud provider (Azure, AWS, or GCP); familiarity with multiple is a strong plus.
• Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Familiarity with ArgoCD or other GitOps tools.
• Experience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g. NodeJS, NetCore)
• Experience with version control systems, especially Git.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) and Italian (written and spoken) is essential.

Nice to Have

• 1-2 years of practical experience in a DevOps, SRE, or similar role.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Knowledge of networking concepts and management of Linux systems.
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.

Salary range : 40.000-45.000 Euro
