Descrizione del lavoro

At Mollie, we’re on a mission to make payments and money management effortless for every business in Europe. We started 20 years ago when we launched a more direct, affordable way for companies to get paid. That provided an alternative to the frustrating, overpriced solutions that banks offered at the time.

Today, we serve more than 250,000 businesses across Europe with an all-in-one solution that simplifies payments and money management. We’re an 850-strong team of product, finance, support, commerce, and engineering specialists working across Europe – from Lisbon to London.

As a Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in improving the reliability and scalability of our financial platform and APIs.

What will you be doing

  • We care for quality and well-designed user experiences—for engineers and non-engineers alike. This translates to well-operated and monitored systems, designing and implementing for failure, knowledge about distributed systems, and a passion for automation.
  • Build a compliant and easy-to-use platform, exposed as a set of self-service tools.
  • Leverage cutting-edge technologies and techniques to add new features to the platform.
  • Strike a balance between shipping often and maintaining a high level of system reliability and security. You will work with stakeholders to set and maintain SLOs and SLAs to meet our business and merchants' requirements.
  • Engage with auditors to ensure compliance and keep our merchants' and clients' money safe.
  • Design and implement a shared cluster compute topology within our cloud infrastructure.
  • Build a cost attribution system encompassing our cloud and infrastructure services.

What you have

  • 3 to 6 years of experience as an engineer in the infrastructure or platform area.
  • Experience with any Cloud PaaS is a must. Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform will be a bonus.
  • Demonstrated expertise in HashiCorp Terraform and a deep understanding of infrastructure as code principles.
  • Experience with designing, building, and maintaining automations, systems, and tools that minimize downtime.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
  • Experience dealing with large-scale applications in complex environments.
  • Experience with high-level programming languages like Go / Python.
  • Knowledge of Linux systems and shell scripting.

Please apply with your CV in English.
