As a Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in enhancing the reliability and scalability of our financial platform and APIs.
What will you be doing
- Ensuring quality and well-designed user experiences for both engineers and non-engineers, which includes operating and monitoring systems, designing for failure, understanding distributed systems, and automating processes.
- Building a compliant, user-friendly platform exposed as self-service tools.
- Utilizing advanced technologies to develop new platform features.
- Balancing frequent deployment with maintaining high system reliability and security, working with stakeholders to set and maintain SLOs and SLAs to meet business and merchant needs.
- Collaborating with auditors to ensure compliance and safeguard merchant and client funds.
- Designing and implementing shared cluster compute topology within our Cloud Infrastructure.
- Developing a cost attribution system covering our cloud and infrastructure services.
What you have
- 3 to 6 years of experience as an engineer in infrastructure or platform roles.
- Experience with any Cloud PaaS is essential; experience with Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
- Expertise in HashiCorp Terraform and understanding of infrastructure as code principles.
- Experience in designing, building, and maintaining automation systems and tools that reduce downtime.
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience managing large-scale applications in complex environments.
- Proficiency in high-level programming languages like Go or Python.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems and shell scripting.
