As a Platform Engineer, you will:
- Improve the reliability and scalability of our financial platform and APIs.
- Focus on quality and well-designed user experiences for both engineers and non-engineers, including system operation, monitoring, designing for failure, and automation.
- Build a compliant, user-friendly platform with self-service tools.
- Utilize cutting-edge technologies to add new features.
- Balance frequent shipping with system reliability and security, working with stakeholders to set and maintain SLOs and SLAs.
- Engage with auditors to ensure compliance and safeguard our merchants' and clients' money.
- Design and implement shared cluster compute topology within our Cloud Infrastructure.
- Develop a cost attribution system for our cloud and infrastructure services.
What you have:
- 3 to 6 years of experience as an engineer in infrastructure or platform areas.
- Experience with any Cloud PaaS; proven experience with Google Cloud Platform is a bonus.
- Expertise in HashiCorp Terraform and understanding of infrastructure as code principles.
- Experience building and maintaining automation, systems, and tools to minimize downtime.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience managing large-scale applications in complex environments.
- Proficiency in high-level programming languages like Go or Python.
- Familiarity with Linux systems and shell scripting.
