The purpose of this position is to manage and coordinate the plant operations in order to reach the best possible performance targets, in accordance with company standards and procedures.
The Plant Manager reports to the Regional Director.
- The role of Plant Manager is based on the following activities
- HSE STANDARDS :
- Maintains order, organization, and cleanliness in all assigned areas, working in line with correct workplace hygiene practices, with the aim to be an example to others.
- Plant managers have a mandate for health and safety matters related to plant activities and guarantees the implementation of appropriate procedures and company directives
- TEAM MANAGEMENT :
- Supervises, coordinates ad supports the Plant management team, managing priorities, eliminating bottlenecks and ensuring all actions are taken to guarantee the satisfaction of the company and the client.
- Effectively manages manpower overseeing staff preparation and development.
- COMMUNICATION AND COOPERATION :
- Promotes successful long-term business strategies by effective, open two-way communication and feedback.
- Ensures smooth integration and communication with other functions.
- Represents the Company towards third parties (e.g. Customers) and local authorities when necessary.
- PLANT MANAGEMENT :
- Manages and coordinates Plant activities in the following areas : Production, Technical matters, Logistics and Quality.
- Oversees all daily production operations of the Plant to ensure efficient inbound / outbound logistics operations, production output and product quality.
- Participates in drafting and analyzing budgets and forecasts for the Plant.
- Monitors and devises improvements related to plant’s KPI (MOL / VA, material Yield, conformity rate, productivity index and 5S)
- Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of plastic molding technologies (EBM and / or SBM and / or IM)
- Excellent applied knowledge of WCM standards
- Good knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment rules and practices
- Good knowledge of the supply chain process
- Basic knowledge of CAD 2D software
- Excellent knowledge of English
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferable or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a production or Plant Manager in an FMCG or Automotive company
