An established industry player is seeking a Planning Technician to support their planning efforts in Naples. This role involves collecting and organizing planning data, processing various land use petitions, and maintaining essential records. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of English and will be responsible for preparing activity reports and collaborating with planning staff. Planning Technician (Naples, FL)

Pay Rate: $18.24 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

Requirements: Background and drug screenings required; must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Collect, organize, evaluate, and report planning data in collaboration with Planning staff.
2. Process land use petitions, site development plans, carnival petitions, and transmittal and adoption of Growth Management Plan amendments.
3. Process commercial Certificates of Adequacy.
4. Research special projects requested by Planning staff or management, including petitions, projects, Commissioner requests, and public inquiries.
5. Maintain zoning atlas maps and divisional files.
6. Prepare and compute monthly activity reports, correspondence, and various divisional records.
