ABB is seeking a Planning & Fulfillment Specialist for the Energy Distribution Division to drive supply chain efficiency, optimize inventory and lead times, and lead IBP/Anaplan deployment. The role collaborates with factories, regional centers, and sales teams to improve forecasting, planning accuracy, and KPI governance.

Competenze

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or equivalent, with 5+ years of experience in SCM or Planning & Fulfillment.
• Strong knowledge in Inventory & Supply Management, Disposition, Planning & Scheduling; hands-on experience in SAP (PP, MM, (E)WM,)/ S4H.
• Experience with forecasting tools (e.g. Anaplan), Power BI, and Microsoft 365.
• SAP or APICS CSCM / CSCP certifications are nice-to-have.
• Proven ability to lead across teams and functions with strong communication and facilitation skills.
• Fluency in English required.

This position reports to BL ED Business Excellence__The Planning & Fulfillment SpecialistforBusiness Line Energy Distribution Division of ABB will drive customer service and supply chain efficiency to enhance ABB’s performance in the Energy Distribution supply chain within Electrification Smart Buildings. This role focuses on optimizing on-time delivery and lead times, ensuring a flexible and effective supply chain setup, and leading Supply Planning within ABB’s Integrated Business Planning (IBP) framework, including Anaplan deployment.

To drive Supply Chain efficiency the focus of the role is to optimize networking capital with focus on locating inventory correct in the ABB supply chain (Factories and Distribution Centers), driving inventory health actions by reducing overstock and slow/ non-moving inventory.

The specialist will work cross-functionally with factories, regional and local distribution centers, and front-end sales teams to improve process maturity, standardization, and KPI governance. They will lead initiatives aimed at enhancing networking capital, planning accuracy, end-to-end planning, and operational efficiency, while also supporting talent development through training and coaching.

This role is essential for strengthening ABB’s supply chain capabilities, ensuring seamless collaboration between key business functions and driving continuous improvement in planning and fulfillment processes to support business growth and operational excellence.

This is a global role with preferred location of hire are Belgium (Evergem), Bulgaria (Stryama), Germany (Heidelberg or Sasbach) and Italy (Vittuone or Santa Palomba). The working model is Hybrid.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Optimize Supply Chain Performance: Develop and implement strategies to improve on-time delivery, lead times, and networking capital (days Inventory on Hand, Inventory Health), ensuring an efficient end-to-end supply chain for both internal and external customers.
• Drive Customer Service: Optimize on-time delivery and lead times across the ABB supply chain. Ensure a flexible and effective supply chain setup driving service for Customers.
• Lead Supply Planning & Tool Deployment: Oversee the Supply Planning process and drive the implementation of Anaplan and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) within the Energy Distribution Business Line and Smart Buildings Division to enhance forecasting and decision-making.
• Drive Cross-Functional Projects & Best Practices: Lead or coordinate cross-unit and cross-functional initiatives to optimize planning, fulfillment, and networking capital efficiency, while also establishing and sharing best practices, process benchmarking, and standardization guidelines.
• Continuous Improvement & Digital Integration: Foster a KAIZEN/Lean Six Sigma mindset, perform root cause analyses, and drive process improvements by leveraging ERP systems, digital tools, and IS solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency.
• Coaching & Talent Development: Act as a subject matter expert (SME), providing training, mentoring, and coaching to Planning & Fulfillment Managers, Material Planners, and Operations Planners, ensuring the development of key competencies and capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or equivalent, with 5+ years of experience in SCM or Planning & Fulfillment.
• Strong knowledge in Inventory & Supply Management, Disposition, Planning & Scheduling, with hands-on experience in SAP (PP, MM, (E)WM,)/ S4H, any forecasting Too (e.g. Anaplan), Power BI, and Microsoft 360.
• Training or certification in SAP or APICS CSCM / CSCP are nice-to-have.
• Proven ability to lead across teams and functions, even without formal authority, with strong communication and facilitation skills.
• Customer-focused, action-oriented, and systematic approaches to process improvement, standardization, and deployment, with digital awareness and analytical skills.
• Experience in Project Management, Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, and the ability to work effectively in a global, cross-cultural environment.
• Fluency in English required.
