Airswift is actively recruiting for a Maintenance Senior Engineering Specialist PVV (Piping-Valve-Vessel) Engineer to work on a major strategic project, MozLNG. The position is based in Milan, Italy.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this is a 12-month renewable, residential contract.
2. DUTIES :
- Prepare maintenance strategies and plans for all PVV equipment and support systems on the LNG complex.
- Ensure standardization and optimization of spare parts and manage spares strategy for PVV equipment.
- Prepare maintenance contracts for PVV equipment on the LNG complex.
4. HSE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to HSE, company policies, confidentiality, compliance, and procedures.
- Demonstrate safety leadership, work safely, and highlight potential incidents or dangerous situations.
- Contribute to continual HSE improvement and safety behavior.
- Attend mandatory HSE trainings and apply learnings on-site.
- Support maintenance of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and other initiatives.
5. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate with the Senior Rotating Engineer on mechanical engineering and maintenance matters, providing technical advice.
- Ensure delivery of mechanical activities in the Maintenance and Inspection Engineering (MIE) plan.
- Review documents and technical specifications of PVV equipment to identify future maintenance challenges.
- Act as an interface between EPC and MIE Contractor to facilitate data flow and ensure technical guidance for PVV equipment.
- Review and develop maintenance strategies for PVV equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Develop and review preventive and risk-based monitoring maintenance programs, supporting inspection and RBI requirements.
- Collaborate with inspection teams and develop maintenance procedures, work methods, and workpack activities.
- Ensure PVV equipment plans are loaded into CMIMS and properly resourced.
- Liaise with vendors and OEMs regarding maintenance, modifications, spare parts, and technical issues.
- Support during commissioning and provide maintenance engineering input into design and testing phases.
- Standardize materials and spare parts, develop repair plans for vital assets, and prepare procedures for future maintenance operations.
6. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical oil & gas / LNG equipment, maintenance, repair, and methods.
- Strong understanding of LNG equipment operation, testing, and repair (valves, piping systems, supports, tanks, heat exchangers, etc.).
- Familiarity with international codes & standards.
- Proficiency in maintenance SAP systems (like CMMS).
- Proficient in computer applications and methods.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
7. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with international standards and solid experience.
- Minimum 20 years of specific maintenance experience in oil, gas, or petrochemical industry.
- At least 10 years in LNG producing plants, not LNG terminals.
- Experience in MIE activities.
