Job Description:

An established medium to large-sized metalworking company, currently revising its organizational processes following the near completion of its SAP ERP implementation, is seeking a:

Production Planner (Planning Specialist)

The successful candidate will lead a team of three and will be responsible for:

1. Analyzing MRP data and developing medium/long-term production plans and schedules, prioritizing based on delivery dates and forecast analysis;
2. Planning production activities;
3. Managing production phases and processes to meet lead times;
4. Overseeing order delivery processes;
5. Managing batches, safety stocks, and reorder policies;
6. Collaborating with the operations director to analyze data and propose efficiency improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, preferably in Industrial Engineering or Production Management;
• Knowledge of MRP logic;
• Experience with SAP, especially PP modules (including MRP and ATP functions) and EWM;
• Strong process analysis skills and a focus on developing robust, coherent processes in complex environments;
• Problem-solving skills;
• Teamwork orientation and ability to engage stakeholders towards objectives;
• At least three years of experience in a similar role;
• Proficient in Excel;
• English language skills.

We offer a permanent contract and a salary commensurate with skills and experience. The workplace is located a few kilometers south of Milan.
