MUSC Health at Home by BAYADA is currently seeking an experienced Physical Therapy Assistant, PTA for a per diem opportunity performing home health visits. This office services adult and geriatric clients on a per visit basis in territories throughout the Florence/Marion, SC area.

As a home health care Physical Therapy Assistant, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients, affording them the opportunity to receive the medical care required to remain at home.

What you’ll do:

As an MUSC Health at Home by BAYADA Physical Therapy Assistant, you’ll use your clinical skills and compassionate heart to treat patients where they want to be the most – in the comfort of their own home.

  • See a client through their care needs – from hospital discharge to living a safe home life with comfort, independence, and dignity.
  • Assist clients in attaining or maintaining optimal physical wellbeing by providing treatment, tests, client education and appropriate interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Continually assess and revise the Physical Therapy - PT care plan, and participate with nursing in the multidisciplinary care plan, as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Have current licensure or certification in the state of SC
  • Have graduated from a two-year college level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, as indicated by school transcript or diploma, or
  • Have two years of appropriate experience as an Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted, approved or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service when initial qualification occurred before December 31, 1977
  • Have at least one year’s work experience under the supervision of a qualified Physical Therapist
