We are currently seeking a reliable and trustworthy housekeeper-cook for a private household located in the Province of Lucca, Italy. The position offers accommodation in a beautiful 4-storey home, situated in a serene countryside environment. The Province of Lucca, located in the picturesque region of Tuscany, Italy, is renowned for its beautiful landscapes, charming medieval villages, and historical sites. Nestled between the Apuan Alps and the Tuscan coast, it offers a serene and peaceful environment perfect for those seeking both relaxation and adventure in nature. The area is easily accessible to nearby cities like Florence and Pisa, making it an ideal location for those who enjoy tranquil living with access to rich cultural heritage.

The principal, a single lady, spends extended periods away from the property, so you will have autonomy over the daily operations. The home is spacious, with four bedrooms, although only one is regularly used. This role requires a combination of high-standard cleaning and preparation of simple, healthy meals. You will also be in charge of walking the family’s three mid-sized dogs and watering the small garden.

As a housekeeper-cook, your primary duties will include maintaining the cleanliness of the 4-storey property, with a focus on ensuring all areas are kept in pristine condition. You will be responsible for preparing simple and healthy meals for the principal. Laundry, ironing, and managing clothing care (including sending clothes to the dry cleaners) will also be part of your role. You will take care of the three mid-sized dogs, walking them twice daily, and oversee garden watering and maintenance. As the principal is away frequently, you will also need to coordinate with contractors for any house repairs or maintenance work.
