A renowned research hospital in Milan is seeking a motivated PhD candidate to join their Biomolecular Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Unit. The successful candidate will engage in protein expression and purification, and contribute to structural studies of protein interactions. Essential qualifications include a B.S.-MA in biological sciences or related fields, with experience in molecular biology preferred. This is a 3-year fellowship position.

IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy, is looking for a PhD candidate to join the Biomolecular Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Unit.

Main responsibilities

Protein expression and purification for structural studies

Structural and biophysical studies of protein complexes

The candidate will work on the functional / structural characterization of HMGB1-CXCL12 interaction with the GPCR receptor CXCR4 (project founded by AIRC)

Candidate skills

Motivated researcher with B.S.-MA in biological sciences, biotechnology, chemistry or physics

Junior fellows interested in a Ph.D.

Experience in molecular biology and / or biochemistry, protein expression and purification is essential

Experience in biophysical and structural biology methods (e.g. ITC, NMR, BLI, SPR, X-ray, cryo-EM) and / or cell biology is considered a plus

Good organizational skills, ability to focus on multiple priorities are required
