Are you looking to drive groundbreaking medical research and make a real impact

Hobson Prior is seeking a Pharmacovigilance Manager to join a dynamic team in Italy. This role focuses on ensuring the safety of pharmaceutical products by managing local pharmacovigilance systems and processes. You will play a key role in monitoring drug safety, maintaining compliance with regulations, and collaborating with global teams.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and oversee local drug safety systems.
  • Conduct local literature searches for safety information.
  • Manage local case reports of adverse drug reactions.
  • Screen for pharmacovigilance intelligence.
  • Maintain local pharmacovigilance system files (PSMF).
  • Organize and manage local data collection processes.
  • Adapt and submit periodic safety reports and risk management plans.
  • Perform local signal detection and implement risk minimization measures.
  • Review materials related to post-authorization drug safety.
  • Participate in audits and inspections related to pharmacovigilance.
  • Provide regular updates on the status of local safety systems.
  • Train employees, service providers, and third parties on pharmacovigilance practices.
  • Collaborate closely with global and local teams to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for local tasks.
  • Act as a deputy for key responsibilities during planned or unplanned absences.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • A degree in Life Sciences is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in pharmacovigilance practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislative and non-legislative guidelines.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate team members.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present solutions effectively.
  • Experience in managing client relationships and small projects.
  • Fluency in English and Italian.
