A leading R&D company based near Milano is seeking a Pharmacology Scientist. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AAV-based gene therapy and Cellular Biology, and will conduct in vitro and in vivo studies, develop screening assays, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This position requires maintaining cell cultures and performing biochemical analyses as part of innovative research efforts.

We are looking for a Pharmacology Scientist on behalf of an R&D company based near Milano.

The candidates need to have expertise in AAV-based gene therapy and Cellular Biology.

Main responsibilities :

• Prepares and maintains cell cultures (including primary cell cultures), perform studies and experiments including tissue processing, biochemical analyses, DNA, RNA and protein isolation, qRT-PCR, ELISA, immunoblot processing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on planning in vitro and vivo screening campaigns in human osteoarthritis (OA) tissues and animal OA models.
• Develop, implement and execute in vitro screening assays, including binding assays and AAV transduction readouts in relevant cell lines.
• Perform bioanalysis for in vitro and in vivo studies to validate lead candidate capsids
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on vector design, production, and payload optimization for developing engineered tissue-tropic AAV capsid variants.
