Job Description

As the Payroll Specialist, you’ll report to the Payroll Manager and take ownership of the end-to-end payroll process for our rapidly growing organization. You’ll ensure timely and accurate multi-state payroll execution, provide responsive support to employee inquiries, and contribute to ongoing process improvements.

What You’ll Be Doing

No day or week will look exactly the same, and you’ll be contributing to lots of exciting projects as our company grows. If this list excites you, this is probably the role for you!

  • Prepare accurate and timely semi-monthly, multi-state payroll processing through ADP for employees and contractors
  • Maintain employee records including new hires, terminations, changes to pay rates, leave of absence, and appropriate state/local tax changes if applicable
  • Respond to employee’s inquiries and requests regarding payroll matters timely and professionally
  • Assist with annual audits, 401k, and workers compensation
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
  • Stay informed on evolving tax laws and payroll-related regulations
  • Continuously innovate and optimize payroll processes
  • Assist with other strategic projects

What You’ll Need

  • 2+ years of payroll experience
  • ADP Workforce Now experience
  • Proven proficiency in Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving skills and passion for continuous process improvements
  • An ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with integrity
