We are seeking a Patent Counsel to join our team in Italy. You will work closely with the IP team of NEXTCHEM and Stamicarbon, responsible for protecting innovations through patents and IP strategies. Your main tasks include harvesting inventions, drafting and prosecuting patents, conducting patent searches, and supporting IP strategy development.

Responsibilities:

• Advise on patent and IP legal issues
• Create awareness of IP importance within the organization
• Identify patentable inventions with inventors
• Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate searches
• Draft patent claims and applications
• Assist inventors and outside counsel during patent prosecution
• Coordinate oppositions and litigation support

The Candidate:

• Qualified European or US Patent attorney
• Master's degree in science or engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred)
• Pro-active, team-oriented, with strong analytical skills
• Knowledge of NEXTCHEM’s technologies is a plus
• Understanding of patent procedures and laws
• Excellent command of English
