We are looking for

A Patent Counsel with an academic background in a scientific discipline related to polymers or material sciences.

• Delivering patent-related matters (drafting, prosecution, opinions, IP advice) critical to the assigned business or product line, contributing to Solvay's competitive advantage with minimal supervision.
• Working successfully in an agile and cooperative manner to ensure the delivery of key IP objectives.

You will bring

• A Master's or PhD in a scientific discipline related to chemistry, chemical engineering, or material science.
• Qualification as a European Patent Attorney.
• 5-10 years of experience as a patent counsel, industry or private practice.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivation, open-mindedness, structured approach, collaboration, and team-player attitude.
• Ability to manage a challenging workload and adapt plans as needed.
• Ability to relate easily across all organizational levels, especially with R&D and Business teams.
