OTE: 1st Year $60,000-$130,000 DOE // Future OTE: $150,000-$250,000+

Business Development Representative (outside sales exp. req.) Description
Our client, a leader in concrete and construction materials, is looking to add a new Business Development Rep to help oversee (and expand) their Northern Alabama market. Given the industrialization of this region, there is nothing but opportunity waiting for the right hunter to take advantage of this booming market. From rebar and geotechnical supplies to concrete forming, you will have an expansive product portfolio allowing for the pursuit of larger (>$1m) and smaller (<$5k) quotes. While you will be given some mature accounts to nurture, this role is heavily focused on hunting new business and optimizing more stagnant accounts. This role would be perfect for candidates who are comfortable creating their own pathway forward with an innate hunter mentality always ready for the next challenge. Someone who loves the chase of new business and would enjoy partnering with a leadership team that wants to give you autonomy to be successful. After all, their most experienced reps make $250,000/year. Aside from limitless earnings potential with an uncapped commission structure, you will join a culture-focused, employee-first company. Important Note: This position offers a monthly guaranteed commission while you’re building your pipeline, assuming productivity and sales prospecting, valid only during active employment. As you ramp up, this position will move into a commission-only role with uncapped commissions (within 6-12 months).
Business Development Representative (outside sales exp. req.) Responsibilities
• Actively engage in initiatives to drive new business development
• Oversee existing accounts and acquire new clients
• Strategize ways to expand market share and hunt new leads
• Meet weekly target for planned sales visits
• Travel to job sites and contractor offices to identify sales opportunities
• Maintain comprehensive customer records in CRM system
• Partner with inside sales team for quoting support
• Stay informed about the latest industry products
• Track market competition and provide valuable insights
• Achieve or surpass annual goals for sales and gross profit objectives
Business Development Representative (outside sales exp. req.) Qualifications
• 2+ years of outside sales, new business development experience required
• Driver’s license and personal vehicle required
• Daily travel required (home almost every night, very limited overnights)
