Prometeon Tyre Group is seeking an Outdoor Testing Junior Engineer to support product testing and equipment calibration for Commercial truck, Bus and Agricultural fields. The role requires hands-on field work and precise problem-solving in mechanical and electrical areas.

The candidate will manage test setups, ensure calibration, and contribute to regulatory compliance while traveling mainly within Italy. Proactive, reliable and detail-oriented individuals with practical wiring and mechanical

Competenze

• Pursuing/recently graduated in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Automotive, or Electronic Engineering.
• Solid understanding of vehicle dynamics, mechanical systems, and basic electrical/electronic principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel mentioned; basic MATLAB and/or Python knowledge.

• Plan and execute product testing ensuring deadlines, optimize resources and guarantee results quality.
• Set up vehicles for testing with complex equipment and manage testing machinery and instrumentation.

We're looking for a candidate to join Prometeon Tyre Group Testing Department as Outdoor Testing Junior Engineer.

The ideal candidate has knowledge in mechanical and electrical engineering with on-the-field, fast problem-solving attitude.

If you are a precise and goal-oriented person willing to see how concretely the testing helps to develop, to improve and to innovate the product take the chance and apply.

The person identified will be responsible of the following activities in 3 main areas (for the Commercial truck, Bus and the Agricultural fields):

Product testing

• Assure the execution of product testing respecting the deadlines, optimizing the assigned resources, and guaranteeing the quality of results.
• Guarantee the correct application of the experimental and type-approval methods in the assigned team.
• Vehicles setting up for testing with complex equipment.

Technical equipment testing

• Manage the testing machineries and instrumentations, by ensuring that all the activities of maintenance, calibration, use and upgrading of the equipment are properly carried out.
• Control the reliability of the assigned equipment and deal properly with any technical problem.

Standard and regulations

• During the assigned testing activities, assure the compliance with the Health Safety and Environmental regulations & laws and the European/Worldwide Regulation for type-approving tests.

Requirements:

• Accademic: Currently pursuing a Degree or recently graduated in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Automotive, or Electronic Engineering.
• Technical: Solid understanding of vehicle dynamics, mechanical systems, and basic electrical/electronic principles.
• Digital: Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel in particular. Basic knowledge of MATLAB and/or Python.
• Languages: Fluency in Italian and professional English proficiency.
• Travel: Availability for frequent business trip mainly in Italy

• Problem-Solving: Proactive attitude when facing technical glitches on machines, vehicles or test benches
• Reliability: Ability to respect strict deadlines and optimize resources while maintaining high-quality results.
• "Hands-on" Approach: Strong inclination toward manual work. comfortable working on the field, using hand tools, and performing mechanical or wiring setups on vehicles.
• Methodological Rigor: High level of precision in executing test protocols and ensuring equipment calibration

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus)

• Previous experience in student competitions (e.g., Formula Student, MotoStudent).
• Knowledge of Truck and Heavy Agricultural machines.
• 2D/3D CAD and technical drawings knowledge.
• Statistics basis knowledge for data analysis.
