GRS Recruitment is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for an Oracle DBA Consultant to join a dynamic IT company in Nicosia. Our client is dedicated to delivering innovative IT solutions, and they are looking for a skilled individual to support their operations and help manage their database infrastructure effectively.

This position is dedicated to our client's Platform team. It focuses on the platform's technology foundation and develops fault tolerance and high-availability solutions for their software platform.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participation in implementation and support projects of processing systems (financial and telecom areas)
• Large transaction systems performance audit
• Miscellaneous load systems - OLTP + DSS - performance improvement
• Writing and performing load (stress) tests
• Investigating and applying new technologies (mainly Oracle) in complex architecture solutions
• Requirements collection and analysis, specifications development, and solution design involvement

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Higher education in technical fields
• At least 7 years of experience in Oracle DBA or developer roles, with large OLTP-systems development and/or administration
• Cluster technology working experience
• Oracle Data Guard working experience
• SQL tuning and execution plans optimization
• Administration-level knowledge of Unix-like systems
• PL/SQL development skills (advantageous)
• Deep understanding of infrastructure deployment and networks, especially in relation to deploying databases in production environments for large-scale financial processing
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and convincingly
