We are now looking for an Optimization Service Support Engineer to join our team in Piove di Sacco, Italy!

• This position will be part of a team primarily focused on Application engineering activities, specifically on Thermal Management solutions. Working closely with R&D and project management, your contribution during the development of new SW control requirements for complex Thermal installations will be crucial.
• Providing overall technical support throughout the project lifecycle—design, execution, installation, commissioning, and operation—to EMEA and non-EMEA organizations, including Vertiv and Partners, via remote and on-site visits to support commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades of Liebert Thermal Products, with a focus on Application and Software.
• This position reports directly to the Optimization Services Manager.

What kind of work will you be doing?

• Following Special and Complex Projects during the NPDI process in collaboration with R&D, Offering, and Service teams to ensure technical support continuity and consistency.
• Ensuring proper technical handover to local Service teams and Central Technical Support for Special and Complex Projects.
• Providing on-site support during Level 4 and 5 tests for Projects and Products during commissioning and customer-specific testing.
• Managing customer-required modifications for delivered Projects, evaluating feasibility, and collaborating with other departments to elaborate solutions.
• Providing Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting for delivered and commissioned Projects, including site visits as needed.
• Ensuring all activities comply with ITC regulations and EU/local environmental norms.

What will make you successful?

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably Electronic, Automation, or Information Science).
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken (additional languages are a plus).
• Ability to work effectively within a team and coordinate activities.
• 3-5 years of experience in the HVAC industry, particularly in Software Application Development.
• Knowledge or experience with PLC programming environments and IDEs.
• Experience in commissioning and testing in an engineering or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of control systems, including networking, Fieldbus technology, and visualization systems.
• Organizational skills and technical proficiency.
