Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc is seeking an Optical Engineer to convert product requirements into detailed technical designs and to own end-to-end design, testing, and validation of advanced optical transmission systems and subsystems. Qualifications

Hands-on lab experience in optical measurements and validation of optical building blocks.
Experience collaborating with ODM/JDM vendors or component suppliers.
Professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken) for international collaboration.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, Telecommunications, or a related technical subject area.

Responsibilities

Translate product requirements into technical design specifications and drive end-to-end design and validation of optical transmission systems.
Lead multi-team initiatives across global groups to ensure quality and timely releases.
Analyze lab results to identify root causes and implement improvements for field deployments.
