Overview
Developing cutting-edge optical modules based on integrated photonics will be your duty while working in a diverse, cross-functional team.
Responsibilities
- Design, simulate, and optimize photonic integrated circuits (PICs) and sensors for diverse applications across telecommunications, automotive, infrastructure, and avionics sectors.
- Collaborate with the team to develop test plans and validate the performance of fabricated prototypes and products.
- Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and compile comprehensive technical reports on completed test activities.
- Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends to identify innovative solutions and improvement opportunities.
- Support intellectual property development by preparing and submitting patent applications.
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience in a laboratory environment.
- Proficiency with optical test and measurement instruments, including Optical Spectrum Analyzers, Optical Power Meters, Tunable Lasers, and Polarization Controllers.
- Solid understanding of optical characterization techniques.
- Experience in the design, fabrication, and testing of photonic integrated circuits (PICs).
- Proficient in photonics design and simulation software such as Lumerical, RSoft, or VPIphotonics.
- Knowledge of photonic component design, including waveguides, resonators, filters, and modulators.
- Familiarity with the design and testing of optoelectronic devices, such as lasers and photodetectors.
