DP World is growing! We have exciting opportunities for Ops Launch Managers to join our incredibly fast paced Contract Logistics PMO. In these roles you will use your extensive Operations Management experience in Contract Logistics to manage the operations focused project delivery ensuring the successful launch of the new business awarded is completed on time and in budget. These positions are offered on a Remote basis but with extensive travel requirements depending on where projects are based across Europe.
About the role
- Support the implementation of new contract logistics launches in line with the Launch Governance Methodology / approach.
- Support the planning, development, testing and implementation of launches to ensure timely deliverables, project success and quality for the Ops Launch Team roles & responsibilities (RACIS).
- Developing good working relationships with the customer throughout the projects lifecycle.
- Manage project launch budgets, initiate action to identify and resolve problems, and ensure goals are met.
- Review, communicate and escalate critical project issues with the Ops Launch Director & Project Manager
- Serve as primary system SME in supporting the system design ensuring the successful completion of UAT (internal and customer) to Project Go Live ensuring the project agreed scope is delivered and complete operational handover when all KPIs are met on a consistent basis.
- Ensure Process Flows are completed for operational / system design.
- Lead and Participate in business process redesign teams.
- Present operational aspects of solution to all relevant internal & customer stakeholders.
- Review, communicate and escalate critical project issues to the PMO team
- Provide support & training to the operational launch team member.
Your Key Qualifications
- Extensive experience in successful warehouse operations management in a senior capacity
- Outstanding communication, negotiation and influencing skills whilst maintaining integrity are essential as you will be liaising with all levels of management and operations.
- Strong leadership experience being able to motivate individuals and teams to a specific plan / timescale
- Experience with new site launches / continuous improvement initiatives would be advantageous
- Strong organizational / analytical skills and be able to translate ideas to action effectively.
- The ability to cope with time pressure in volume dynamic operations is required whilst continuing to be enthusiastic and have a high level of energy ensuring project deadlines are consistently achieved.
