We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Operations Manager to join a boutique lifestyle hotel in the heart of Rome. This is a hands-on leadership role combining daily operations, people management, and strategic thinking — perfect for someone who thrives in dynamic, design-led hospitality environments.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead your team with a people-first approach, fostering development through coaching, feedback, and by setting a strong example.

  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, creating efficient shift plans and workflows while always seeking opportunities to optimize.

  • Be present on the floor — run briefings, oversee service, and take part in key operational moments to guarantee an exceptional guest experience.

  • Uphold brand and quality standards across all touchpoints, contributing to a consistent and elevated atmosphere throughout the property.

  • Support recruitment and training of team members, helping build a high-performing and motivated hospitality team.

  • Oversee administrative processes including monthly reporting, invoicing, payroll prep, and inventory/order management.

  • Monitor compliance with health & safety regulations, including HACCP, fire safety, and general operational policies.

  • Take ownership of guest feedback and experience, handling any issues with care and delivering creative, solution-oriented responses.

Who you are:

  • You have a background in hospitality or business management, paired with solid experience in operational leadership roles.

  • You've worked in boutique hotels, lifestyle concepts, or upscale restaurants, and understand the rhythm and expectations of the segment.

  • You’re confident with POS/PMS systems and basic business metrics.

  • You lead by example, balancing structure and empathy, and know how to get the best from your team.

  • You’re fluent in both Italian and English, and have excellent communication skills that allow you to engage with both guests and staff.

  • You're a hands-on problem solver with a guest-focused mindset and an eye for operational detail.
