Cargoful | Ai For Transportation Planning is seeking an Operations Intern to keep the engine running across Finance & Admin, Office Ops, and cross-functional needs. You'll work directly with the founders, owning execution end-to-end in Milan and beyond.

You'll handle invoicing, bookkeeping support, vendor relations, event coordination, travel, and process design to scale the ops backbone. The role blends hands-on tasks with automation using AI tools.

Competenze

• Pursuing or recently graduated in Management Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance, or related degree.
• Italian native speaker with English B2+.
• Familiar with ChatGPT, Claude, Sheets/Excel, n8n/Make, and basic accounting/admin tools.

Mansioni

• Own execution end-to-end across Finance & Admin, Office Ops, and team needs.
• Process design and automation of workflows to scale operations.
• Coordinate travel, events, and logistics; manage office operations in Milan.

From retail stores all the way up to large-scale enterprises, professionals are craving tech solutions to run supply chain operations in much better ways, saving money and reducing the environmental footprint on our planet. What You'll Work On The Role: Keep the Engine Running.

As our Operations Intern, you'll be the connective tissue that keeps the company moving. You'll work directly with Filippo (CEO) and Erica (COO), owning execution end-to-end across Finance & Admin, Office Ops, and whatever the team needs to ship faster. You're a Star Jolly: adaptable, fast, reliable across functions, and someone who thinks long-term about what a scaling startup actually needs to run well. You will be working on specific projects across the operational backbone. Some may be (but will change and evolve during your tenure):

Finance & Admin Operations

• Active invoicing: issue invoices, track collections, support customer AR follow-up
• Passive invoicing: vendor invoices collection, validation, and AP organization
• Support month-end basics: bookkeeping-ready documentation, categorization, reconciliations support
• Process design & oversight: define and automate workflows, improve handoffs, create checklists that survive growth
• Liaise with external accountants, payroll providers, and legal counsel

Office & People Ops

• Keep our Milan HQ (Porta Romana) running: supplies, vendors, facilities, equipment setup for new joiners
• Coordinate team events, offsites, lunches, and the small rituals that make the team a team
• Manage travel, expenses, and small logistics for the team

Cross-Functional Jolly

• Jump in wherever the team needs leverage: sales ops, marketing operations, hiring coordination, data hygiene
• Run special projects directly with founders: from internal tools to process documentation to vendor selection
• Build the operating playbook as we scale, so the next person doesn't reinvent the wheel

How You'll Make It Happen

• Be hands-on: you don't just suggest, you execute, iterate, and make the system run better every week
• Use tech and AI intelligently to compress hours into minutes (Claude, ChatGPT, n8n, Make, automations) without losing quality
• Work directly with founders, with high exposure and high ownership from day one
• Treat every process gap as a chance to design something better, not as someone else's problem

Who You Are

• You want to experience building at an AI startup in the midst of a social and technological revolution, and you want to do it from the operational core, where you see how the whole machine works
• Flexible, high-energy, learns fast, fills gaps, keeps momentum
• Doer, Owner, Hands-on: you take responsibility and close loops without being chased
• Pursuing or recently graduated in Management Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance, or related degree
• Italian native speaker, English B2+ (we work with international investors, partners, and customers)
• Comfortable with the everyday tools and tech of today's world (ChatGPT, Claude, Sheets/Excel, n8n/Make, basic understanding of accounting/admin tools)
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to keep multiple threads moving in parallel without dropping the ball
• Preferred: any smart-automation project, exposure to finance/admin/operations roles (even a side project or extracurricular), or basic understanding of B2B SaaS / startup context

The Deal

• 6-month internship contract, with the opportunity to convert to full-time anytime after 2 months based on performance
• Compensation: €1000–1500 €/month based on profile and seniority
• 8 €/day foodstamps
• Full AI tooling + tech stack to work efficiently
• Direct exposure to founders and senior team members from day one
• Set-up: Hybrid, 3 days/week on-site in our Milan office (Porta Romana)
• Clear path: high-performing interns are converted to full-time Operations / Finance / Business roles within the team
