In this role, you will support the CTS Engineering Teams in achieving Operational Excellence, ensuring governance and execution of the technology roadmap for New Product Development (NPD) programs. Your key responsibilities will include tracking adherence to plans and budgets, assessing engineering workload against internal and external capacity, and fostering a data-driven decision-making culture. You will collaborate across functions to optimize processes, metrics, and strategic initiatives.
As an Operations Engineer - New Product Development - Climate Technology Solutions, you will be responsible for:
- Mapping NPD program milestones and managing change control processes to track progress against plans.
- Overseeing governance of CTS technology and product roadmaps in collaboration with system engineers, product leaders, and program managers.
- Analyzing program status (resources, milestones) to provide engineering leaders with actionable insights for optimizing allocation, financials, coordination, and integration.
- Supporting the Team in Milestones and Earned Value Management implementation and adoption.
- Driving Demand vs. Capacity Analysis by evaluating engineering workload and resource allocation.
- Ensuring accurate and timely Vouchering allocation across engineering teams.
- Collaborating with the Outsourcing Leader to assess external engineering capacity and workload distribution.
- Conducting functional cost analyses to identify cost drivers and implement cost-reduction strategies with program managers and product leaders.
- Applying data analytics to engineering processes, fostering a proactive, data-driven mindset throughout the organization.
- Establishing strong relationships with IET Engineering Leaders and Operations teams, facilitating knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Communicating insights effectively to stakeholders, from executives to operational teams.
- Supporting resource estimation for NPD CTS programs, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Preparing reports and presentations summarizing analysis results and progress.
- Maintaining and enhancing the internal document management system for efficiency and compliance.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
- Have proven experience in data management, analytics, and operational governance. Background in Operations or Finance is a plus.
- Have very good organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Be detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Have excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
- Have very good written and verbal communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
- Have Black Belt certification or equivalent quality certification - advantageous.
- Have the ability to influence stakeholders and drive initiatives with a significant impact.
- Be effective in coordinating cross-functional projects and ensuring timely execution.
