WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Operations Engineer (Linux and Kubernetes) – Space Mission

Join our client’s team in Rome as a Operations Engineer (Linux and Kubernetes) – space mission. Our client is a trusted partner of European governments and international organizations, specializing in IT and space services.

YOUR TASKS

• Oversee real-time monitoring and operation of ESA missions.
• Diagnose, resolve, and prevent operational issues.
• Analyse system performance and optimize processes.
• Develop scripts to automate tasks.
• Assist with new projects and system integrations.
• Maintain operational procedures and technical documentation.
• Perform routine application maintenance.

YOUR SKILLS

• Proficient in Linux
• Proficient in Shell Scripting
• Proficient in Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of storage solutions and cloud technologies
• Expertise in troubleshooting and process optimization.
• Fundamental understanding of networking concepts
• Experience in requirements analysis and project planning.
• Excellent command of the English language (B2 or higher)
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts.

NICE TO HAVE

• Basic knowledge of Grafana, Kibana, and Elasticsearch
• Basic knowledge of HTML and XML
• Basic knowledge of Apache and Tomcat
• Basic knowledge of Python
• Basic knowledge of OpenLDAP
• Basic knowledge of MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL
• Knowledge of the ESA Environment
• Knowledge of Satellite product standards
• Experience in monitoring and operating satellite missions
