Position Description

Financial analyst position to support the centralized Verticals Finance group in Pocenia for CP&P, HTP and Coating, the focus will be on the following areas:

  • Actual results analysis and month end closing support
  • Forecasting and Planning
  • Operational Reporting and Analysis
  • Capital Investment Analysis
  • Business line profitability analysis
Key Responsibilities
  • Month-end closing process by analyzing actual results, highlighting unusual trends, providing valuation or journal entry support as needed and proposing and implementing actions to support strategy target.
  • Support and prepare the monthly forecast and annual plan. Ensure timely submission of deliverables.
  • Maintain, optimize and develop operational reporting and support the analyses for monthly performance review.
  • Support the management team to generate cost reduction ideas, including savings through negotiations, resourcing and technical changes to reach the target.
  • Support for product costing and inventory valuation. Understand current product costs and drive enhancements to product profitability information.
  • Support quotation activity and provide profitability and volumes analysis.
  • Oversee accounting controls related to inventory and costing.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Financial Standard Practices (FSPs).
  • Support capital investment decisions via payback analysis.
Required Education & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in controlling in manufacturing accounting environment.
  • Strong background in financial analysis, forecasting, cost accounting and plant bookkeeping.
  • Good understanding of the overall business processes (operations, sales, logistics and business segments).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and communicate effectively with various levels of the organization and work by objectives with strict deadlines.
  • Solid working knowledge of accounting rules (either IFRS or US GAAP).
  • IT knowledge of international ERP systems (like Microsoft Dynamics, Golden Lake, SAP, etc.) and office pack (Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Graduated in economics and business administration
  • Proficiency level in English and Italian
  • Travel required 10% to 20%
