Descrizione del lavoro

Ukio’s mission is to empower individuals to live where they want, when they want.

We do this by disrupting the traditional residential real estate market, providing fully furnished and artfully designed apartments for stays starting at one month. We remove all the hassle around finding a rental with no long-term contracts, moving / buying furniture, security deposits, broker fees, etc., giving choice and flexibility to allow people to live where and when they want.

We are a Barcelona-based startup with offices in Madrid, Lisbon, Berlin, and Paris. Soon we will expand to more cities across Europe.

Backed by Europe's top Venture Capital firms, the next year will be crucial for our growth as we build our team and expand into new markets. We successfully raised €27 million in our Series A in 2022 and recently secured a Series B to support our growth across Western Europe.

Our culture |

We value diversity, compassion, and honesty. Our team is a mix of dedicated, collaborative, and results-driven individuals. We embrace the unknown, granting autonomy to our team members to own their projects. We are creators, thriving in dynamic environments and building projects from scratch.

Our team includes foodies, athletes, adventure seekers, and art enthusiasts. We enjoy fun team events regularly. Are you ready to join us?

Role |

As we expand into a new market, we seek a Guest Operations Manager to establish and scale our local operations.

In this role, you will oversee our city portfolio, leading the Quality Assurance and Facilities Management teams. You will ensure operational excellence in recruitment, training, property inspections, and inventory management, with a focus on guest satisfaction. This position requires a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

We want someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growth environment—someone excited to build high-performing teams, shape operational culture, and develop lasting systems. Your leadership will be vital in establishing our presence and success in this market.

Responsibilities |

  • Recruit, train, mentor new team members, and manage schedules to ensure coverage for check-ins, check-outs, and daily operations.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support professional growth.
  • Collaborate with Guest Experience and other teams to improve service and guest satisfaction.

  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining or improving quality.
  • Track performance metrics and report regularly to optimize operations.
  • Maintain backend data, including BOQs and costs.

Inventory & Logistics Management

  • Manage city-level inventory of essential items, ensuring safety stock and reporting issues to the Design team.
  • Negotiate and manage agreements with local contractors and vendors.
  • Handle contractor sourcing, trials, and performance evaluations.

Maintenance & Field Operations

  • Act as escalation point for maintenance issues, coordinating field visits and stakeholder communication.
  • Oversee daily contractor services for maintenance tasks.

  • At least 3+ years in Hospitality or Guest Operations management.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Fluent in Italian and English.
  • Flexible, resilient, adaptable to change.
  • Effective in cross-functional teamwork.
  • Comfortable in a startup environment.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Skilled in optimizing operational processes.
  • Detail-oriented and a great planner.
