Coperion is expanding its global footprint by opening a new Shared Service Center in Ferrara, Italy. This center will support key procurement operations for our German-speaking sites in Germany and Switzerland. We are building a dynamic team that will operate in a hybrid work model, offering a collaborative and flexible environment.

We are looking for an Operational Purchaser to join this new team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the procurement process across multiple locations, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. This is a great opportunity for someone with some procurement or sales experience who wants to grow their career in purchasing within an international company.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage the procurement process from order placement to invoice approval for the German-speaking Coperion locations.
  • Assist with tenders, price comparisons and order processing.
  • Support price negotiations and contract finalizations within defined categories.
  • Monitor order status and delivery schedules to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Handle complaints and defective claims in collaboration with other departments.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams including Quality Assurance, Logistics, Planning, Accounting and Production.

Your Qualifications

  • Fluent German skills (spoken and written) – mandatory.
  • Experience in procurement administration or related tasks.
  • Customer-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on attitude.
  • ERP knowledge (Navision, SAP, or IFS) is a plus but not required.
