As Production Manager , reporting to the Plant Director, you will be responsible for :

  • Managing and supervising the entire production process, ensuring it aligns with the schedule and is cost-effective.
  • Managing and supervising the production workforce (both direct and indirect), including skills matrix and training needs in collaboration with HR.
  • Organizing production resources and defining resource requirements.
  • Monitoring production processes and adjusting schedules as necessary.
  • Ensuring standards and quality-control programs are implemented.
  • Achieving plant targets related to safety, quality, service level, and efficiency, in coordination with other departments such as HSE, quality, logistics, industrial engineering, maintenance, HR, and controlling.
  • Leading Autonomous Management (AM) or Workplace Organization (WO) within the World Class Manufacturing framework.
  • Organizing repair and routine maintenance of production equipment by the workforce.
  • Leading, supervising, and motivating the production team.
  • Possessing an engineering degree with 5-7 years of experience in similar manufacturing roles.
  • Demonstrating strong people management, teamwork, coaching, and motivation skills.
  • Utilizing production management tools like daily meetings, reporting, problem-solving, skill matrix management, 5S, autonomous maintenance, etc.
  • Having good knowledge of safety and environmental concepts as applied to production.
  • Understanding cost and performance accounting basics.
  • Having knowledge of World Class Manufacturing or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Understanding core production processes such as metal stamping, welding, enameling, painting, polyurethane injection, assembly, and automation.
  • Familiarity with Time & Method studies methodologies.
  • Exhibiting strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, stress management, decision-making, communication, and entrepreneurial skills.
  • Fluent in Italian and English.
