Job Purpose

Leveraging our parent company MSC Group’s centuries of maritime expertise, our fleet of six ships, with EXPLORA I currently sailing, are being built and designed in a unique way that will transform and redefine the cruise experience, creating a new category appealing to the next generation of luxury travelers.

The Onboard Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and managing guest-facing marketing assets to elevate the onboard experience and support company revenue goals. Based in Milan, Italy, this role requires close collaboration with corporate teams, onboard staff, and operational partners to ensure seamless execution of marketing and communication initiatives across multiple touchpoints.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work in accordance with Corporate Marketing brand guidelines to support development and delivery of marketing content and assets for onboard operations, ensuring alignment with brand standards, budget adherence, and deadline compliance.
  • Collaborate with corporate and onboard teams to maintain consistent branding and messaging across all marketing materials and touchpoints, overseeing content updates as needed.
  • Brief and coordinate external agencies for the development and production of assets including brochures, signage, videos, and promotional materials.
  • Assist in developing and executing marketing plans to promote onboard amenities, activities, and experiences, aiming to increase onboard revenue and guest satisfaction.
  • Manage and maintain content on various platforms, including onboard CMS, in-suite TV, digital screens, mobile app, and entertainment content library, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Oversee translation processes for key assets in core languages and ensure content accuracy in English.
  • Monitor guest journey to identify opportunities for communication improvement and suggest enhancements.
  • Support onboard crew with training, guidance, and resources, and ensure proper maintenance of marketing assets.
  • Report on costs and expenses related to marketing activities.

Qualifications (Skills, Experience)

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in guest experience, onboard communications, or operational marketing within the hospitality or cruise industry, preferably luxury.
  • Strong marketing skills at the corporate level, including toolkit development and asset production.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines within budget.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners.
