A technology firm is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for freelance/contract work in Rapallo, Italy. The role involves performing hardware installations, structured cabling, and server management in mission-critical data centers. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in IT infrastructure, strong cabling skills, and the ability to work on-site. This position offers €20-28/hr based on experience. Emergency work may qualify for premium rates.

Competenze

• 2+ years of data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in raised floor environments.
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro).

Mansioni

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.

Conoscenze

Cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, fiber)

Strong communication skills

Troubleshooting

Server hardware experience

Formazione

Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS or similar)
